low bladder durability
Date: August 3, 2010
I bought the Zuma in May in Ohio where I live and have been diving in Florida/Bahamas for 18 dives since I left end of May. After 16 dives I found a leak. Back bottom center just above seam had a 1/4inch puncture through both sides. Appears to be a pinch from tank rack on a boat. Called Aqua lung dealer in Florida during my trip and was told "have to buy a new bc" Rented a BC for last 2 dives of my trip.
This was not abuse, only normal use, with what seems to be very low bladder durability. Very disappointed and hope when I get home I get a better resolve from dealer I bought it from. No matter what I will have to buy another BC in hopes of not having an equipment failure like this again on a more distant, expensive dive trip.

I just used the Zuma on my trip to the Philippines. Did 30 dives and absolutely loved it. From pack-ability to weight to the way it worked it was fantastic.
I was able to travel with just one bag. I used the new Aqua Lung Traveler 850, Zuma Bc, Apeks Flight Regulator, 3mm Wet Suit, Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Boots, D9 Computer, Clothes and acc. and my bag weighed in at just 45.5 lbs.
The Zuma was extremely comfortable both in and out of the water. I love the positioning of the integrated weight system and the new sure lock II weight pockets. The pockets are so easy to install it blows away the competition.
This is the best travel bc I have seen and I plan to use it on all of my travels. I love all the weight I lost and the fact that I can now travel with all my dive gear and clothes with only one piece of luggage.

Best BCD Ever
Date: January 26, 2010
Just got back from 12 dives in Jamaica with my new Zuma. By far the most comfortable BC I have ever worn , Tank fits great and weight is carried at the waist comfortably. The new track weight system makes putting the weight pockets in easy --and unlike my other BC the pockets click to know they are secure.Weight and packability are excellent--and mine was dry in less than 12 hours and ready for packing. Put a cylinder on one in the showroom and walk around --YOU WON"T BELIEVE HOW SWEET IT IS! My new favorite BC by far.

This BC is the best I've ever worn
Date: December 21, 2009
I just returned from diving in Jamaica with my new Zuma and I LOVE it. I am a slender female and have a terrible time getting a BC to fit me especially since I am a warm water diver and don't wear much wetsuit if any. I have a Libra as well which has been pretty good but still never quite right. This fits like a glove and the way it distributes the tank weight when in the water you feel like there's nothing there. Despite the fact that it is very light, the padding in the straps and back is more than enough to be very comfortable. As if all that weren't enough, I packed it in my carry on bag! Thank you for finally making a BC I can truly love. Worth every penny. I can't wait to take it to Cozumel and Fiji and .....

Great hidden value!
Date: December 8, 2009
At first look I was not totally impressed with the first pictures of the unit, but now that I have had the opportunity to dive it in several locations, all warm water it dove as if it was part of me. Bringing the tank closer to my spine brought in my radial center of gravity. This allowed me to spiral at will through the water without having a slow or rapid part of my rotations. The padding of the BC paired with an 80 aluminum tank gave me plenty of straight back-pac support without a hard back-pac. The fact that it weighs in at 4.4 lbs. is a great plus for all dive travellers. Then the real novel idea is the Surelock II integrated weight system that is for the first time I have worn a BCD where the tank retention band is attatched to the waist band that securely locks the tank in place and keeps it from shifting up or down, or left and right at that point of contact. The to finish it off Aqualung has added an adjustable cinch strap that should line up with the top of the tank. Once this is secured it prevents any shifting of the upper portion of the tank you are wearing.
