Great control, comfort
Date: May 19, 2010
My wife and I now have used the i3 on about 25 dives. I admit, I was skeptical at first; now I can't imagine going back to the old-style inflators. Before the end of the first dive I could instinctively reach the toggle switch without looking or fumbling around for it. The valves work as advertised: I could dump them in any position without having to think about or find the appropriate pull cord, and I was surprised at how little water leaked back into the bladder.
I'm also a fan of the hose routing, as the low pressure hose is almost completely hidden and the alternate is neatly tucked in its "octo pocket." It tends to keep things somewhat streamlined, despite being a bulky jacket-style BC.
Overall, I think its a great innovation and I hope it catches on. Love it!

Surprising BC
Date: May 11, 2010
I have been diving for 40 years and have seen equipment gimmicks come and go. I thought the i3 was a gimmick until I used it. I really put it to the test last year in the Caribbean where I was doing deep blue water diving. I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of use with making micro adjustments quickly with no fumbling for the controls. I am hooked on the i3 and am looking forward to seeing this system incorporated on other Aqua Lung BCs in the future!

Incredible BC
Date: April 20, 2010
I love this BC, actually purchased it because a dragon at wasn't available, but have thanked my lucky stars every dive since. The I3 system is awesome, always simple and always the same. Inverted descents are my favorite and the I3 lever makes it perfect...no dump pulls. The only thing that can make it better would be back inflate...Sea Quest are you listening?

Great BCD
Date: April 19, 2010
I recently purchased my Pro QD I3 and used it on about eight dives. I absolutely love it, the fit and finish are great and the I3 functions as advertised. I cannot imagine going back to the old style of BCD on a permanent basis and would only, relucantly, use a non I3 BC on a very temporary basis. Once my family gets certified and are ready for their own equipment, I will highly encourage them to go with the I3.

Excellent inflate/deflate feature
Date: November 18, 2009
I have been teaching scuba for over 15 years. I have had many students that get their buttons confused and have to work to orientate themselves in the water. The logic of "air in equals up"...lift lever to go up" really seems to make sense. The air also seem to come out of the valves in just about any position.
