Great BCD to teach with, lots of space and rings. Good lift, bouyancy, good weight pockets. Can't stop saying how good it is.

Only weekness is in pockets , my zippers broke but aqualung has lifetime warranty to original purchase so they fixed it free of charge:) all good now. the vest is a little short of storage in pockets as I am an instructor and carry quite alot to aid my students in my pockets.

You can really dial in your buoyancy with this BCD. I always use the trim pocket in the pack and feel very comfortable above, and more importantly, below water! I run this BCD with the integrated inflation/air source to minimize my potential to damage coral. One of the best BCD's I have used.

This is a fantastic BCD for the most part. I had the previous version also and still keep it for freinds to borrow. The only issue with the newest one is the weight pockets do not lock and stay in like they are supposed to. Apparently QA missed this big time. The previous version was flawless. I really like the addition of rear weight pockets instead of having them on the inside. Also, if I used an octo the pocket provided would be awesome.

why the QD

Used to own a aqualung after 12!! years it was time for a new one. Tried the QD and was sold immediately. padded, comfort and easy to use. surelock system always holds. as an instructor i highly recommend it to everyone. Students and pro's. GREAT stuff. great value. durable.
