Titan LX

The challenge to the design team was clear - Improve upon the current Titan LX. While no one wants to mess with success, the designers rose to the occasion and, as usual, did not disappoint. Aqua Lung is excited to offer an all-new Titan LX for 2009. This beautifully redesigned...

LX = Luxury!
Date: March 29, 2010
The LX is a great reg set up for someone who isn't interested in teh best of the best and just wants something that you know will work each and every time comfortable. I did 100+ dives on my LX before I decided to upgrade, and my wife still dives with her LX. It is a great reg for the price!

Good Set Up
Date: March 25, 2010
This reg is a great midline set up. It has the extra features you would expect to find on top of the line gear, in an affordable package.

This is a great Low-Mid Range Reg. I have done over 100 dives on my LX from depths of 30' - 140' and with the adjustable valve it allows a good steady air flow at what ever depth. It is light which makes if a good travel reg set up.

The AL Titan XL S is my first regulator. I found it to be comfortable for the most part, easy to breathe with, there are a lot of bubbles with it and it can get annoying when clear a mask, so they could vent out a little better. Good 1st stage.
Overall grade of A-.
As with all things scuba it is a bit pricey, but nothing worse than any other sport.

Still don't use the freeflow lever
Date: November 18, 2009
I usually forget that I have activated the anit free flow lever, only to discover it's engaged halfway through my dive. It's the only con I can find right now, other than that the Titan is a great reg.

High-Performance Mid-Range Regulator

This is my wife's primary regulator and I dive with it occassionally as well. Between the two of us, we probably have almost 200 dives on it.
If you are searching for a mid-priced regulator that mimics the performance of ultra-premium regulators - this is it. My primary regulator is a Legend and I can barely tell the difference between the two underwater.
The only minor drawback to our (previous version) of this regulator was the radial hose routing required a bit more packing space for travel. But that issue has clearly been addressed with the new first stage design.
I would also recommend upgrading to the "cold water" version of this regulator. Doing this provides peace of mind that you can dive this regulator in a wider variety of environments.
So if you're looking for a mid-line regulator that mimics the performance of premium regulators, this is it...

Awsome Regulator!
Date: November 13, 2009
I'm quite new to diving (a little over two year) and I'm a master certified diver by NAUI and I bought this product about a year and a half ago though a local dealer in the Fort Lauderdale area. I absolutly LOVE the reg! It breaths really easily, and is very comfortable to use. If you're looking for a great overall reg to use go for the Aqua Lung Titan LX!

Still great value for the money
Date: November 13, 2009
The Titan LX was the first regulator I ever bought, when I got certified. It was an excellent recommendation from the shop, and has since done somewhere around 500 dives with me, in cold water and in warm. It breathes well and has been durable. Although I now own many more regulators, it's still my singles rig reg and my tropical travel reg, and I still think it was excellent value for the money.
