Testing at the end of the world

I recently had the opportunit to dive in the Antarctic Circle with a few of my buddies. All of us dove the Legend Glacia. During our briefing, our DM told us that it was not uncommon to get free-flows from frozen regs and went over the emergency procedures. Over the course of the week of diving, we did not have a single free-flow incident. Our DM was impressed! The Glacia performed flawlessly in freezing water. And the best part is it is such a smooth breathing reg, I'm still using here at home.

Having owned this regulator for two years now and putting nearly 500 dives on it in some vary intense conditions, I am very impressed. I am a dive guide in the caribbean who dives just about every day from nice shallow dives to the limits of rec diving. My gear is therfor very important to me and even though it gets stored in a wet bag aboard a boat every night this regulator just keeps chugging along.
I am extremely impressed with the ACD system as I have removed my dust cap and don't bother to use it any more yet the ACD keeps my whole system internally dry even when it is splashed or accidentally falls over the side of the boat.
I cant speak well enough of this regulator and am looking forward for the many years of future use it will give me.

Have used my Legend Supreme for roughly 200 dives and it has performed admirably. I have used it everywhere from the cold waters of the Great Lakes to the warm waters of Hawaii and it has been flawless underwater.
My only disappointment is the design of the ACD device - soaking the reguator first off the tank can be a bit dicey if you're not sure the position of the ACD relative to the dust cap...
But that is a very small glitch in an otherwise fantastic regulator. I always recommend AquaLung regulators for their performance and reliability when talking with fellow (and new) divers.
If available, I highly-recommend the "cold water" version of any AquaLung regulator you purchase - for the small added price, you get peace of mind knowing you can dive the regulator in almost any environment.

Smooth Breathing

After years of using my Sherwood I decided to replace it. After doing some research I decided on the AL Legend LX ACD. I spent a week diving in Turkey - great easy breather no matter what depth same effort (nearly none).
Can't wait to use it again. Thanks Aqualung for making a fantastic reg.

This is by far one of the best if not the best regulator I have ever owned and or used. It literallyblows away the competition with its breathability and the self closing first stage mechanism is a G*D send. What an ingenius idea from the overall leaders in SCUBA gear for 60 years!! Bravo.
